The Music Icon Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Herself in Satirical Film Preview

Charli XCX is getting ready for a substantial big screen appearance in 2026, beginning with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.

In the film, Charli embodies what she calls as a twisted version of herself.

It’s the most authentic portrayal of the music business that I’ve ever encountered, the star commented.

She clarified in a conversation: It’s not a tour documentary, however the inspiration came from the demand to create one.

An Early Look into The Film

The first teaser, launched on Thursday, combines real clips from her recent tour with imagined behind-the-scenes moments.

The Moment is overseen and co-authored by Aidan Zamiri, who shared that the story centers on a scenario where the singer took completely different paths during the publicity of her smash hit album Brat.

Next year will also see the star with Olivia Wilde in romantic thriller I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in creative industry mystery The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in horror remake Faces of Death.

Additionally, she agreed to feature in the star’s first film as director A Tree in Blue.

I’m thoroughly loving my acting journey, Charli shared. I’m incredibly motivated right now in this area, and I always want to do projects that excite me.

Additionally, she will compose the score for the story Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, scheduled for release soon.
