Rosie, the charismatic leader Hell’s cannibal community, promised Alastor he would become “the most powerful Sinner in Hell” in return for his eternal spirit.

“The agreement between Rosie and Alastor is the first stepping stone in a much bigger story that involves so much, moving into the third season,” the showrunner explains. “Clearly that is an excellent question: How is she so strong? Questions Answered in Season 3

The showrunner promises that the upcoming season will tackle the queries fans have been asking, like why Rosie commanded Alastor to disappear for seven years, which diminished his influence in the infernal realm.

“The entire seven-year span, and the pacts these humans are making, and everything — it's feeding into a bigger narrative,” she reveals.

Meanwhile, the origin story episode provides a further look into what the core cast of Sinner Demons appeared as as mortals, following after seeing another character's historical mortal appearance in the second episode. The creator explains that significant consideration was put into these character designs.

“The human versions of the characters hold great significance,” she notes. “They vary from looking really different from their infernal version to looking very similar. With Pentious, the first one we see, there was some internal discussion within the team between choosing a design that symbolizes the personality, as opposed to selecting an option that's historically correct. We leaned toward making something that just felt like it was him.”

She says the primary controversy over the mortal look of Pentious was his long hair: “We were like, ‘No one really had long hair like that in Victorian-era London.’ But simultaneously, we believe the outline is so important, and we also just thought he looked good. We were like, ‘This just feels right.’ We kind of gave the excuse that he's a hermit, so he just allowed his hair to lengthen. So there's always a way. As we create the human versions of these characters […] it is a very enjoyable process to investigate and figure out. I'm excited for fans to view additional of what the human forms look like.”
